osx-palm-tools

Developing for Palm OS on Mac OS X can sometimes be complicated by the lack of up-to-date tools for OS X. I started the osx-palm-tools project to provide free and useful tools to developers. This open-source project groups several tools I developed: Cocoa Palm Reporter, USB-TCP Bridge, HostTraceGlue, the Palm UI Constructor currently in development, as well as stuff developed by others. All free, under open source licenses.

BrainForest

BrainForest is the premier action item, checklist manager, idea keeper, and project planner for Palm OS® handheld users. It was also the first product of its kind on Palm OS back in 1997. I'm still working on it and it is now being published by Ultrasoft.

DataShield

I developed Ultrasoft DataShield for Ultrasoft (the makers of Ultrasoft Money and Ultrasoft Checkbook). I use DataShield daily to store my serial numbers, web passwords, bank account access passwords & info, etc. Now that I wrote it, I can't live without it anymore. Check it out!

SymbolHack

Lets you easily type symbols which are usually difficult to write. (not compatible with Palm OS 5 yet, will be updated soon).

PowerGlot

PowerGlot was the leading tool for localization of Macintosh applications and Palm OS applications. It allowed you to translate any application in any language, including two-byte languages (Japanese, Chinese...) and right-to-left languages ( Arabic, Hebrew...).

French Mac keyboard layout for Windows v1.1 KProf open-source developer tool

If you use a Windows machine either with Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection, or with a USB switch to share your Mac keyboard/mouse between both computers, you probably noticed that Mac keyboards are poorly supported under Windows (especially international keyboards). I created a French keyboard layout file for Windows 2000 / XP which allows using a French Apple Pro keyboard either directly on a PC or through a Remote Desktop connection (should also help with VNC). Instructions are included for people willing to create their own keyboard layout file.

I worked mostly on Linux during a couple years and developed the KProf open-source profiling tool for developers. Since I'm now working on Mac OS X only, I am no longer the maintainer of KProf but others are actively contributing to it.

Pilot-link library

I use the pilot-link library in my Sync Buddy product and am the maintainer for the libpisock core of pilot-link. Besides debugging and improving the library, I wrote the Mac OS X USB code that it now uses to provide native USB support on Mac OS X. I can provide service and development around pilot-link if you wish to build products around this library.
